Our Story

Once Upon A Time There Were Two Eugene Wedding Photographers…

LifeSlice Photography started in 2009 as a part-time business by Mike Nordtvedt and his wife, Elsie. At that time, they were Eugene wedding photographers, well known for their ability to capture a couple’s unique and beautiful story. They have a knack for helping the bride and groom to feel how beautiful, stunning, and magnificent they truly are.

Five years later, Mike & Elsie decided to become full-time photographers of many stories: the story of a high school senior ready for their next adventure; the story of a business owner getting a headshot for their new business cards; the story of a newlywed couple welcoming their first baby into the world. Storytelling is what keeps Mike and Elsie’s passion for photography alive.

Still Eugene Wedding Photographers – And Much More

Becoming Eugene wedding photographers as a husband and wife team was an amazing experience for Mike and Elsie. They still love to capture and celebrate one of the biggest days in their clients’ lives. Today, they have a passion for creating memorable moments for anyone who welcomes them into their lives. They specialize in creating timeless photos, and their goal is that these moments and memories last a lifetime.

Photography, and especially wedding photography, take Mike & Elsie up and down I-5 and all over the beautiful state of Oregon and beyond. They have even had the chance to travel to Eastern Europe and work with orphans in Belarus.

LifeSlice Photography believes that everyone has a story to tell. So, let’s get together and talk more. We would love the chance to tell your story, too.

Behind The Camera: A Little Peek Into Our Life

We met in college in August 1981, dated for 2+ years and then married in 1984. We raised two great sons and have two wonderful grandkids who call us Papa and GranGran. Like most grandparents, we can’t get enough of slaying dragons, reading books, and nap time cuddles. In addition to our family, we enjoy running, bread-making, and volunteering with several non-profits in Springfield and Eugene. We also love hiking and the outdoors where we always carry our cameras. Watch our blogs for some of our personal stories, as well as many of yours!
